TABO :- Tabo is a small town in the Lahaul and Spiti district on the banks of the Spiti River in Himachal Pradesh, India. The town lies on the road between Rekong Peo and Kaza (alternative spelling: Kaja), the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti. The town surrounds a Buddhist monastery which, according to legend, is said to be over a thousand years old. The Dalai Lama has expressed his desire to retire to Tabo, since he maintains that the Tabo Monastery is one of the holiest. In 1996, the Dalai Lama conducted the Kalachakra initiation ceremony in Tabo, which coincided with the millennium anniversary celebrations of the Tabo monastery. The ceremony was attended by thousands of Buddhists from across the world. Tabo Monastery’s spiritual head is Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche.

DHANKAR :- Dhankar Village (also Dankhar, Drangkhar; Brang-mkhar or Grang-mkhar) is a large high village which used to be the capital of the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is at an altitude of 3,894 metres (12,774 feet) above sea level, between the towns of Tabo and Kaza, Himachal Pradesh. Above the village sits the local monastery – the Dhankar Gompa. Total number of houses are 68. The 40th head of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, Pelden Gyeltshen (1601-1674), came from Dhankar.

KAZA :- Kaza, also spelled Kaze, Karze, Karzey, is a town and the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti is a high altitude or cold desert having close similarities to the neighbouring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture. Kaza, situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of 3,650 m (11,980 ft) above mean sea level, is the largest township and commercial center of the Spiti valley.

KEY MONESTERY :- Kye Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Gelugpa sect located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 metres (13,668 ft) above sea level, close to the Spiti River, in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti district, India.It is the largest monastery of the Spiti Valley and a religious training centre for lamas. It reportedly had 100 monks in 1855.
The monastery is dedicated to Lochen Tulku, the 24th reincarnation of the great translator Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo.
It is about 12 km (7.5 mi) north of Kaza and 210 km (130 mi) from Manali by road.

HIKKIM :- Hikkim is a village in Lahaul and Spiti district in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh at an elevation of 4,400 m (14,400 ft). It is 46 km (29 mi) from Kaza, the nearest town connected by road. It is one of the highest year-round inhabited locations in India, with residences from 4330 to 4400 m. Tangyud Monastery in adjacent Komic village 2 km to the southeast has residences up to 4520 m, and Korzok Monastery in adjacent Korzok village on Tso Moriri has year-round residences up to 4570 m.[1] Most of the population is Buddhist. People use stones and wood extensively to build houses and structures.

KOMIC :- Komic is a small village located in Spiti Tehsil of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh with population of 130 of out of which 90 males and 40 are females as per Population Census 2011. Komic village is one of the world’s highest motorable villages.

LANGZA :- Langza is a small village located in Spiti Tehsil of Lahaul and Spiti district, Himachal Pradesh. It is set at the base of Chau Chau Kang Nilda mountain, also known as the Princess Mountain. The village has a population of 136 people only. The village is known as the “fossil village” of Spiti valley.

KIBBER :- Kibber, also Kibber Khas and Khyipur,  61  is a village high in the Spiti Valley in the Himalayas at 4,270 m (14,010 ft) in Himachal Pradesh in northern India. It contains a monastery and is a base for visiting the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located 19 km (12 mi) from Kaza and a bus service connects them in the summer months. Agriculture forms the backbone of the local economy and lush green fields are abundant. It is the base for visitors to the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, home to about 30 snow leopards. Treks to nearby peaks and to a high pass in the Zanskar range between Spiti and Ladakh start from Kibber.

GUE MONESTERY :- Gue is a village in the Lahul & Spiti district of the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. The village is about 40 km from the Tabo Monastery, at latitude 31.11 and longitude 77.16. This village is claimed by China. The village is 10,000 feet above sea level and 500 km away from the state capital, between the towns of Sumdo and Tabo.The village is a few kilometers away from the India-China border where there is the mummy of a late medieval Buddhist monk from Tibet.

MUD VILLAGES :- Mud (also known as Mudh and Muth) is a small village in the cold desert region of Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, India. Located at an altitude of 3,810 m (12,500 ft) on the left bank of the Pin River, a right bank tributary of the Spiti River, the village is nestled at the base of the Parbati range that towers almost vertically 1,600 m (5,200 ft) above. Mud is near the boundary of the Pin Valley National Park and is a convenient base for treks in the park, and to the neighbouring districts of Kullu and Kinnaur. It is the last village on the Spiti side of the Pin Parbati trek to Kullu and the Pin Bhaba trek to Kinnaur.Mud became famous among geologists in the 1860s when the Moravian geologist Ferdinand Stoliczka discovered a major geological formation in the Himalayas that he named the Muth Succession, after Mud. This spurred many geologists to do fieldwork in the Pin Valley. The Muth Formation, as it is now known, has a thickness of 258–300 m (846–984 ft). Consisting of white quartz arenite, it is resistant to weathering and readily visible

PIN VALLEY NATIONAL PARK :- Pin Valley National Park is a National park of India located in the Spiti Valley in the Lahaul and Spiti district, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located in far northern India. It is part of Cold Desert.Steeped in historical and present day Buddhist Tibetan culture, the area has many Tibetan Buddhist influences, evident architecturally in monasteries and stupas, and in the daily living of its residents and lamas.
Pin Valley National Park, with an area of 675 square kilometres (261 sq mi) was established by India in 1987.

CHANDERTAAL :- Chandra Taal (lit. ’moon lake’) is a lake in the upper Chandra valley of the Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India.[1] Chandra Taal is near the source of the Chandra River. Despite the rugged and inhospitable surroundings, it is in a protected niche with some flowers and wildlife in summer. It is a favourite spot for tourists and high-altitude trekkers. It is usually associated with Spiti, although geographically it lies in the watershed of the Chandra River of Lahaul. Kunzum La separates Lahaul and Spiti valleys.
Chandra Taal Lake is on the Samudra Tapu plateau, which overlooks the Chandra River (a source river of the Chenab). The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape. It is at an altitude of about 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in the Himalayas.[1] Mountains of scree overlook the lake on one side, and a cirque encloses it on the other.

KUNZAM PASS :- Kunzum Pass is a magnificent mountain pass in the Himalayan Kunzum Range. The Kunzum Pass, located in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 15,060 feet above sea level, is a magnificent sight to behold. One of the pass’s thrilling features is the fifteen hairpin turns along the road.While these turns give a beautiful view of the roads, they make the Pass a testing ground for the travelers’ driving skills.
