Check into your riverside camp at Pirdi, which happens to be the most common place to start rafting expeditions in this area. The day begins with an orientation session provided by the experienced rafting guides who familiarize you with the equipment-so much for safety and itinerary for the expedition. Wind up the evening riverside soaking up the peacefulness of the Beas River. Pirdi overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, prepare to embark on your first rafting trip. This trip does take you up to about 14 kilometers and would be called Grade II and III, depending on the stretch from Pirdi to Bajaura. Paddle through the clean waters of the Beas River while enjoying the view of apple orchards, thick pine forests, and the snow-peaked mountains in the distance. Most notable along this route are rapids such as "Big Daddy" and "The Wall". End the day's rafting session at Bajaura, a quiet little place famed for its picturesque beauty. Back to camp for a hot meal and an evening fireside.
The one who wants more adventure should try: if you think you've had enough of your rafting adventure, carry on till your last day. Bajaura to Bhuntar is today a 16-kilometer route that the Beas River covers with strong rapids further up and smooth, slidable facets. You pass through the place where the Beas and Parvati Rivers meet at Bhuntar. It is natural as well as spiritual. After rafting, visit some nearby local sights in Bhuntar or return to the campsite to relax.
The final leg gets you for your adventurous journey.
